With a huge range of booming literature festivals, book launches, writing workshops, conventions and much more besides, the writing event scene is livelier than ever. But how do you go about putting together a successful event yourself?

This workshop is aimed at aspiring event co-ordinators, with a range of practical tips for leading to a successful activity, including developing your concept, programming speakers, marketing and on the day delivery. QUAD’s Literature Officer Alex Davis has been involved in running writing events for over a decade including Derby Book Festival, Derby Festival of Words, Nottingham’s Poetry In The City, Edge-Lit, Alt.Fiction and more.
