Description
Farnham Maltings is offering training for theatre makers who are interested in developing their own work internationally.
The day is aimed at artists and organisations who are established nationally but who would like to take the first steps to explore their international ambition. The course outline will start from the assumption that you are an international beginner.
It is designed to give you a practical overview of how working internationally can benefit you as an artist or as an organisation. It looks at:
• Artistic development
• Organisational development
• Capacity
• Planning
• Networks
• Types of work
• International opportunities
The day will involve you and your peers in discovering your own way forward for international development. By the end of the day you should be in a stronger place to continue your thinking and to take the first steps towards working internationally.
The caravan training day is led by Gary Hills, one of the caravan mentors, who has 15 years experience of international working and production. There will also be a session delivered by the British Council where you can discover the organisation’s way of working and the opportunities it can offer.
