Audio drama monologue workshop Saturday 13th May / Theatre 503 / London

Description

INTRODUCTION TO AUDIO DRAMA WORKSHOP: MONOLOGUES

Dear Writer,

You are invited to attend a free workshop to learn new skills in writing for audio drama and how to use sound to tell your story.

Explore how to tell gripping stories and create unique character voices through the art of writing dramatic monologues

Workshop Leader : Cordelia Galloway is currently the head of drama at the web-based radio channel, Podium.me She has recently produced and directed a season of audio drama monologues written by young adults and performed by professional actors.

On Saturday 13th May Theatre503 will be hosting an introduction to Audio Drama workshop. This is the first of a planned series of workshops which we intend will lead to a limited number of writers, developing a monologue and having that recorded and hosted on the Theatre503 website.

The first session is free and completely open access. Places will be given on a first come first serve basis. However please make sure you are able to attend before replying.

Workshop - 10am - 2pm Sat 13th May At Theatre503 (London)

After the workshop writers will be offered the opportunity to submit a short monologue for consideration.

A select number of writers will then be invited to further workshops and given the opportunity to develop their piece.

A further submission will then be made before a limited number of pieces are chosen for recording.

Exact dates of further workshops and numbers of pieces to be recorded are not set as yet.

We have held back 10 spaces for writers under 25. If you are under 25 and would like to reserve a place for this workshop please email Cordelia.galloway@Podium.me putting Audio Drama Workshop in the subject line.
