Description
Intermediate Course Director: Heritage Interpretation
GEM (Group for Education in Museums) in partnership with AHI (Association for Heritage Interpretation) is looking for an inspirational course director to develop, organise and deliver its Intermediate Course: Heritage Interpretation in three venues across England over the period May 2017 to February 2018. This role is a great opportunity for an experienced trainer to develop an important element of GEM’s plan to provide valuable mid-career continuing professional development (CPD) to the museum and heritage workforce.
This course is aimed at around 15-24 participants, all mid-career museum and heritage professionals seeking to develop their skills and knowledge in heritage interpretation. The course will be mapped onto GEM’s and AHI’s core competencies.
Each course will take place over six weeks and be based around a one-day workshop, with activities both before and after the workshop to consolidate learning. Each course will be run three times in a different area of England to increase participation.
The course director will be paid a fee, including taxes and all expenses, of £4,000.
The development of this course (one of five) has been made possible by a grant from Arts Council England to fund GEM’s Learning and Sharing Centre (LSC) project.
For more information please visit the GEM website.
Closing date: Tuesday 25 April 2017 at 12.00 (noon).
