Description
With Arts Council funding and a partnership with South West Heritage Trust, a creative oral history project celebrating the last 40 years at the Brewhouse, will take place from April 2017 – March 2018. The project will collect local stories and memories about the venue and commission a writer and film maker to use the material as inspiration for a piece of creative writing and a short film.

The successful film maker will be selected through a two-part process commissioning process.
Stage 1. Open Call. Interested parties should submit a PDF up to 2 pages in length containing the following details and information:
- Up to 3 links to relevant examples from your portfolio indicating date of completion, scale of work and timeline of project.
- Brief biography (max. 500-word count).
- Briefly outline how you would creatively approach this project (max. 750-word count).
Please send your submission by 21 April 2017 to: programme@thebrewhouse.net with Film Commission in email Subject Line. We are happy to accept submissions from collectives or collaborative teams, however please note that the fee cannot be scaled to reflect multiple team members.
Stage 2. Shortlisted artists will be invited to meet with the artistic team to visit the side and present their ideas
Budget: The commission fee for this project is £2,000 including materials and costs.
