Following a young girl, Melanie, who is held prisoner, educated and studied in a secure facility, the horrifying truth about her and her classmates will soon be revealed... The Girl With All The Gifts has found great acclaim for its originality, characterisation and emotional impact.

Both novel and script were penned by M. R. Carey, who was recently nominated for a Bafta for Most Outstanding Debut by a British Writer, Director or Producer. Finishing a novel means facing a whole new world of queries, agents, synopses, rejections, etc. that can be daunting even for those expecting it. This course is designed to demystify the process of submitting your work to agents and editors. It will cover how to find the right ones to approach, how to write a query letter that will stand out from the slush pile, how to write a synopsis, and what makes compelling sample chapters that will have agents and editors asking for more.
