Relief Carving in Limestone
29 & 30 April - 10 - 4pm - £130
Using traditional hand-carving techniques, learn how to create a relief carving in Portland limestone. Take inspiration from the local scenery, or choose from a range of subjects, or bring along your own ideas. Your tutor Pete Graham will guide you patiently through the techniques needed to create a carving suitable for indoors or the garden. No experience needed. Peter works as an artist and stone carver, mostly on commissions but also exhibiting in various galleries. His most recent Cornwall commission was to carve the head of Merlin into the cliffs at Tintagel which received a fair bit of publicity featuring on 'The One Show' as well as national press.
