Description

Physical Lab workshops and residencies are running regularly in London, Paris, New York, Crete and other key cities and invites performing artists from any background and any level (beginner to professional), who want to keep improving, expanding and developing their craft.

Physical Lab invites artists to embark on a continuous journey of artistic evolution. The work is a dive into one’s essence and authenticity.

Focus

- The discovery, exploration and ownership of the key qualities that define one’s essence/talent.
- The understanding and the release of the restricting beliefs and habits (performing, social and personal), that obstruct one from being authentic and grounded in his/her essence.
- The exploration and ownership of roles, text, physicality and choreography.

The Methodology

The point of entry is the body. The methodology offers tools and exercises that support the activation of all the senses and the energy within the body as well as the connection with emotions, one’s physicality, voice and imagination.

The training explores physical and grounding techniques, physical and vocal training, exploration of impulses, ensemble work, improvisation, exploring words and ownership of text, building a character and performance.
