#besmartaboutart networking is a monthly opportunity to meet and develop relationships with artists, curators & other peers and to expand knowledge - creative and professional alike.

To kick-off the 2017 year, we're heading to Nicolas Laborie's solo photography exhibition 'Tin Tribes in the Garden of Ether'. Nicolas will provide insight into the wet plate photographic process and his journey in the art world. This will be followed by a short talk 'The Art World in 2017' facilitated by BSAA founder Susan Mumford. She'll be highlighting the artist-gallerist working relationship and getting sponsorship for art events.

About the Exhibition:

Tin Tribes in the Garden of Etherpresents a selection of unique photographs looking at a number of different subcultures, where style and fashion play an important part, be it for political reasons, issues of freedom, resistance, gender equality or self-expression against the norm and society.

Nicolas is launching a limited edition hardback book which presents his photographs and includes a foreword by Artist and Art Historian, Armando Alemdar Ara as well as a conversation with Deputy Editor and Arts Writer at State Magazaine, Anna McNay.
