BAC Beatbox Academy is looking for exceptional singers, beatboxers and rappers to make a large-scale musical production with Battersea Arts Centre.

The BAC Beatbox Academy is a collective of London's best singers, rappers, beatboxers, poets and vocalists that collaborate to create and perform their own original music and organic remixes of popular tunes. Each member has their own individual vocal specialty, which combines to make a super-group of young, talented performers. 

BAC Beatbox Academy hosts two cohorts. There is an open group for people of all abilities that runs termly on Thursday evenings, and an advanced young artists group that are selected via audition to perform at major corporate events and festivals such as Latitude Festival, Bloomberg HQ, Big Noise Festival, Royal Festival Hall and more. 

We are looking for fresh, exciting and talented artists to join our advancedcollective to create a production that will tour in 2017. The chosen collective will work across weekly sessions with director Conrad Murray and guest specialists including professional beatboxers, vocal coaches, choreographers and designers. 

The collective will perform a work-in-progress sharing of the production in December, before hosting a three-night run of the final show in April 2017. The show is set to tour in Summer 2017 across the UK at major festivals. 

To apply you must be:

• Between 18-28 years old
• Available on Thursday evenings October - December and January - April
