Description

Can you sum up what you want in one word? Internationally acclaimed artist Barnaby Barford is using The Elephant & The Tortoise sculpture he made for Highams Park as the centrepiece for a new installation he is creating specifically for HP Fest. Thousands of Table Tennis Balls will be available for you to write just one word on - the thing you most covet - the thing you most want - your deepest desire. The balls will then be placed into the sculpture making up a mass of words, encouraging the viewers and participants to see and understand their neighbours in a new way. Juxtapositions and narratives will build within the installation as it grows.

Combining the history of Halex factory who had a world wide monopoly on production of table tennis balls and his new body of work ‘Me Want Now’ to be exhibited in November.

In addition there will be...

Pom Pom Creation Station/Yarn Bombing:
Make some pom poms to help ‘yarn bomb’ the fence of the Children’s playground.

and...

Hp's Little Screevers:

All suitable for children 0-100!
