Actor as Educator: How to teach drama to children
Bigfoot Arts Education, the UK’s largest provider of creative and educational workshops, is now taking bookings for its ‘Introduction to delivering drama workshops’ two day course.
This course will equip you with all of the skills needed to deliver engaging drama workshops for children and is suitable for participants of all ages and levels of experience.
The course will cover:
• The role of a facilitator
• The breakdown and structure of a drama class
• The psychology behind implementing drama
• How to use drama when teaching numeracy, literacy and storytelling including games,
exercises and techniques in improvisation and devising
• The use of drama for behaviour problems, classroom/workshop management and health and
safety issues
• Facilitating skills- Personal skills in communication, presentation and confidence
