With the help of our fantastic team of staff, we have developed excellent standards in all areas of the theatre’s operation.  We aim for all staff to work flexibly, and at all times co-operatively with each other across our various departments.  We encourage staff to do this through training which helps them to develop into the knowledgeable, flexible and courteous workforce that our customers have come to expect.

Main Duties

To provide technical support in all technical disciplines in order to deliver an excellent service for all areas of the Marlowe Theatre programme.

Essential Requirements

Knowledge

• Basic knowledge of the theatre industry.
• Good knowledge of theatre production (or related fields).
• Good knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations, in particular, Health and Safety legislation.

Skills

• A good level of IT skills.
• A good level of problem solving skills.
• A basic level of written and verbal communication skills.
• A good level of numeracy skills.
• A basic level of people management skills.

The ability to adapt

• A good level of manual handling skills.
• A good level of theatre production skills.

Experience

• A good level of relevant experience of working in the theatre industry.
• A good level of relevant experience of Theatre Presentation.

Qualifications

• GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English to grade C or above.
