Description

We’re looking for three exciting artists and / or companies with strong links to Bristol and its communities to take part in the Summer 2017 round of our flagship IGNiTE artist residencies. Throughout the year Trinity hosts a series of residencies, workshops and and live performances featuring artists that reflect Bristol’s diverse communities.

We  achieve this through

• presenting an in-house programme of live music, dance and theatre with support from our Programming Forum
• building links between local artists, participants, national touring companies and performers
• providing supported residencies for performing artists.
• encouraging resident artists and featured performers to engage our centre users and the wider community

What you can expect as an artist in residence

• up to ten days of free studio space in our iconic Fyfe Hall. Available dates:

            June: 12 // 14, 15, 16 //  19, 20, 21, 22, 23  // 26, 27

            July: 3, 4, 5  // 10, 11, 12, 13  // 31 July

            August: 1, 2, 3, 4 // 7, 8, 9, 10, 11  //  14, 15, 16, 17  //  21, 22, 23, 24, 25

• an opportunity to share work to a mixed audience of programmers, other artists, and local people
• access to networks and programmers, including formal professional development opportunities
• advice and guidance from key members of Trinity staff and partner organisations as well as peer support from other resident artists
• free hot desk and meeting space, subject to availability
• A bursary of £200 to help cover expenses
