PHYSIOLOGY ENERGETICS EMOTIONS INTELLECT AT ONCE with Daria Fain 

Saturday 20 - Sunday 21 May, 11am - 5pm

C O R E M O T I O N is a performance and healing practice which New York based choreographer, performer and somatic practitioner Daria Faïn has developed over 35 years. Informed by acute research into architecture, neuroscience, linguistics, psychology and energetics, this research has progressively led her to Qigong, the martial arts and contemplative practice; and to a deep exploration of the dynamic between European, Asian, and American cultures.

The mornings will focus on Inner Structure, approaching the body as a whole organism, while Contemplative Action in the afternoons will draw on the Chinese 5 Element Theory and other cognitive principles to explore the correlation between organs, senses, emotions, intellect and the material space that surrounds us.

The workshop includes free entry to Daria’s talk on Friday 19 May, 7pm:

Daria Faïn and The Commons Choir
At the core of Daria Faïn’s work is the question of language. With poet Robert Kočik she created an area of research to explore language as a vibratory medium that inter-relates art, health, and social change. For this public talk Daria will introduce the fundamental principles of her work with The Commons Choir, a performance group she co-directs with Kočik.

Throughout the talk Daria will engage the audience with simple movements and vocal scores to offer an instant internal experience of her somatic/creative approach.
