Description
Our Discworld inspired tribute day to Sir Terry Pratchett is just days away!
Come along and join in a wonderful day of fun and craft activities planned for all ages.
'The Turtle Moves', inspired by Terry Pratchett's Discworld series, sees a Juvenile Crafters' Guild appear, as if by magic, in Rochester's Community Hub, where you can design your own Luggage or bring to life a Golem, among lots of activities including designing your own Quantum Weather Butterfly or creating your own Octavo.
Out and about in the high street you'll bump into numerous characters - and even see a re-enactment of the Battle of Koom Valley and more, in Rochester Games and Models. Playopolis will have Discworld Board games and Robot Turtles, while Get Ready Retro has comic illustrator Phil Buckenham in residence. The Dark Morris will also be in town - are you brave enough to dance with them?
If you're feeling peckish, Cafe@172 will be offering ratonnastick among other delicacies ;) And shhhhh - the Librarian will be appearing in L-Space (Baggins!) as well as around the town, so look out for him.
The Golem and Octavo workshops need to be booked - but the whole thing is FREE! Find out all the details here.
