Expressions of Interest for establishing a new website for The Yaa Centre
About Carnival Village Trust and The Yaa Centre
Carnival Village Trust (CVT) is a charity supported by Arts Council England (ACE). The charity is dedicated to the promotion, support and development or Carnival Arts; steelpan, masquerade and calypso. With funding received from ACE, CVT supports its founding partners, Mangrove Steelband, Ebony Steelband, Association of British Calypsonians and Yaa Asantewaa Arts.
CVT operates two venues, its trading subsidiary, The Tabernacle in Notting Hill and The Yaa Centre in Maida Vale.
The partner organisations based at the Yaa Centre are: Ebony Steelband, Association of British Calypsonians and Yaa Asantewaa Arts.
The Yaa Centre is predominately a venue for the development and promotion of Carnival Arts, however there are spaces in the venue that can be hired for events, activities and classes.
The revenue generated from the hiring out of spaces at the Yaa Centre is vital to support the charity and the charities objectives in the promotion of Carnival Arts.
What we require from the new website
The Yaa Centre is a Carnival Arts venue and the website must appeal to the Carnival community as a place they can visit, hold meetings events and workshops in.
However we also need to appeal to a wider audience and attract a wide rage of organisations, businesses, schools, charities, and community groups to hire our spaces and help generate revenue.
Budget: Design & build £2'500 inc vat
