Barbican Arts Group Trust is delighted to announce the opening of the exhibition Human Nature by Chalk A.K.A Alan Marriott.
Following a major stroke in 2014 Chalk turned to photography having spent many years as a non-figurative painter. The exhibition features 25 photographs, selected by Mark Wainwright, that were taken between 2014 and 2016. The photographs concentrate on man-made structures “dens” found in Coldfall Wood and Highgate Wood, near to Chalk’s studio on Archway Road.
A catalogue is being published by Barbican Arts Group Trust to accompany the exhibition. It will be on sale at the PV and later on-line at the special price of £10. Part proceeds of catalogue sales will be donated to Ability Ne and The Stroke Association. The remaining proceeds will go towards Barbican Arts Group Trusts Public Programme.
