Description

Boomsatsuma’s OCR Cambridge Technical Extended Diploma in Media Production Level 3 course is now open for application. Successful candidates will be based at one of our agencies; the Engine Shed Bristol or Bridgwater Arts Centre.

Summary

At the agency you will be dealing in real applied communication and advertising challenges from a private and public client base as well as exploring personal projects. Project outputs will include but not be limited to; Film, Illustration, Graphic Design, Web & Social Media.

How long is the course?

2 years (First year starting 1st September 2016, ending 31st July 2017)

The Course:

Students need to demonstrate a degree of independence as projects will involve travelling around the city and locations as projects demand. Learners can also expect to occasionally work evenings when covering live music events.

Learners gain:

∙ Real applied experience working on projects for commercial and public partners across the region.

∙ Nationally recognised UCAS credited qualification, equivalent to 3 A levels. 

∙ Real and broad based portfolio.

What are my career options?

This is course is designed to meet the needs of young people seeking to progress in the entry level employment in the creative industries or university.

Are there any extra costs?

This is a funded programme but students are asked for a voluntary studio fee of £120 per annum.

What do I need to join?

Learners need to be 16 on the 1st September 2016.

English and Maths grades A*-C and a passion to work in the creative industries. All applicants will be given an opportunity to demonstrate their interest at an interview. Places are limited in this first year.
