EXHIBITION:

What comes to mind when you hear the name Lithuania?

We are inviting submissions from visual artists to be featured in a group exhibition to be held at a beautiful exhibition space in Lithuania. The exhibition curated by ART PROJECTS EU aims to explore artists’ perceptions of Lithuania and what Lithuania represents to them. The project aims to explore the relationship between artists from various parts of the world and the idea of Lithuania as perceived by each artist and expressed through their individual works.

It is not necessary that you have visited or lived in Lithuania. Yet when you hear the name you might associate it with an experience, a feeling, a thought or an idea. We are inviting you to express your feelings, thoughts, impressions and ideas about Lithuania through art.

The project is inspired by multiculturalism, cultural diversity and exploration, and we are particularly interested in hearing from artists wishing to tackle cross-culturalism, acculturation and cultural syncretism with references to Lithuania or the Lithuanian culture.

Thought provoking, comic, entertaining and contemporary pieces are also welcome.

SUBMISSIONS:

The exhibition invites submissions from emerging and established talent, providing opportunities to international artists, photographers and moving image makers. Artists at all stages in their careers are welcome to apply.

FEES:

We do not charge submission fees; all artists can apply for free.

A small fee of £35 per exhibiting artwork will be applied to selected artists towards the costs of the event. The fee covers the exhibition, including postage costs from London for artworks of up to 40x40cm, inclusion in marketing materials and in online catalogue, event photography/videography, etc.

In order to reduce the postage and transportation costs we will prioritise light, small artworks that are easy to transport.
