SUBMISSIONS OPEN for Short Film Festival

Description

Submissions are open for The Makeshift Cinema 2016!

The Makeshift Cinema aims to showcase filmmaking talent in an accessible, innovative way. We give filmmakers the opportunity to show their work on a big screen as it is intended, to take the experience out of anonymously watching something online into a space where filmmakers can meet each other and share ideas, and film fans can view new and exciting work for free.

The Makeshift Cinema accepts films of all genres – drama, animation, documentary, music video and artist films are all welcome. The only limitation is that the runtime of the film must not exceed 10 minutes.

Due to high submission rates, we regret that we may not be able to screen all films. There is no charge for entry.

The festival will be held in London in September in partnership with Peckham and Nunhead Free Film Festival, date and location TBC.

To submit your film to The Makeshift Cinema we ask that you complete a submission form and send us a viewing copy of your film. This can be done using a link to vimeo, youtube or another host site in the submission form. Please read the regulations and 'How to Submit' page before filling in the form.

If your film is successful we will inform you by email, and will also be contacting you to request a downloadable version of the film for certification and screening, three stills of the film and a more detailed synopsis.

We're looking forward to watching your submissions!
