How do artists establish themselves?

Towner, College Road, Eastbourne, BN21 4JJ.
Cost: £6 or FREE to Blue Monkey members.
Panelists:Ceri Hand (Art Consultant), Cathy Lomax (Transition gallery), Jane Hayes Greenwood (Block 336). Activated by Matt Roberts.
Each panellist will present a case study of how they have supported an artist, and helped them to establish themselves, followed with a Q&A with the audience about artists' development.

The aim of Open Forum 2016 is to allow Matt Roberts Arts to provide advice to artists in regions where the commercial sector is developing and less visible.
Matt Roberts is a curator and art consultant with over 10 years’ experience of artist’s professional development support and exhibition management. He has worked in India, Israel, Denmark, Norway and Sweden, as well as lecturing at various universities and institutions across the UK. Having founded both the Matt Roberts Arts project space and the Salon Art Prize, he has mentored or offered one-to-one support to over 500 artists, and contributes critical writing to a-n, Axis, and Guardian Cultural professionals on a regular basis. http://ift.tt/1vbwNC3
