Calling professional dance artists and choreographers-

 A unique opportunity for dance artists and choreographers interested in making dance and performance work in outdoor and landscape settings.  Internationally renowned choreographers Rosemary Lee and Luca Silvestini will be leading separate residencies in the stunning setting of Cornwall’s Hay Studio, overlooking the Camel Valley in North Cornwall.

SALT landscape/dance is a 2-month celebration of dance performance in the landscape set in the most inspirational sites in Cornwall including Kynance Cove, Sennen Beach, Watergate Bay, Trebah Gardens and other locations. Inspired by feedback from dance artists in SALT 2013- we are presenting SALT Dance Camp- its is exactly what it says- you bring a tent, camping gear and a bike if you wish (Hay Studio is situated on the Camel Trail). We provide a simple camp-site with loos, showers and a large, beautiful indoor studio with log burner and kitchen, a fantastic cook for shared evening meals and access to some of Cornwall’s most stunning landscape sites.

 SALT Dance Camp is an opportunity for dance artists to extend their understanding of outdoor site-specific work, reflecting on context, creative sources and process. We want to find ways of supporting dance artists at all stages of their career and are interested in meeting artists we would not otherwise encounter and engaging with new and wider ideas.
