Fee: £100 in advance, including refreshments

Creative Writes runs weekend writing creative workshops at regular intervals throughout the year.

Following the success of our Creative Writes Weekend Workshop in 2016, we return in 2017 with our Treasure Box, Write Your Legacy Weekend.

You will be provided with your own treasure box but you can also bring your own if you prefer, or find one later. You will be guided through a series of fast paced free flow exercises and we will start to fill your treasure boxes with words that may include your memories, fictional stories, anecdotes, wishes and poems. Nichola will provide ideas and guidance but it is your treasure box, so you choose what you wish to fill it with!

Structured yet free-flowing, the weekends are run without critique to allow your writer to create freely. Small groups of up to ten are led by Nichola to cover differing subjects, ranging from the every-day to the unexpected. Writing focuses around objects, pictures, stories and observation, with Creative Writes giving a starting point for participants.

Participants are encouraged at every step of the way to express themselves in their writing and Nichola encourages and leads participants to write their own stories. Full details are given on booking and an outline of the Weekend is here:

There is no critique on the writing, as with all of our group workshops. The focus is more on the process and enjoyment of the writing. Places are limited to ten and some places are already booked - so please book asap to avoid disappointment.
