Description
Saturday 10th June, 14:00-17:00 @ New Diorama Theatre
Working collaboratively can be at best tricky and at worst a total nightmare. But it can also be one of the most enriching and satisfying of theatrical experiences. Exercises that focus on Lecoq techniques, space, game-playing, improvisation, and devising will strengthen the connection between the group, provide a shared language and generate ideas for storytelling. Maria will share her personal discoveries of making theatre as part of Superbolt Theatre, a collaboratively-led theatre company.
Through practical exploration and a heightened awareness, you will consider how something meaningful can be born from the craziest of ideas. You might make work you never would have made on you own. Maybe you learn skills you did not know you had. You might get to know other people in a totally new way, and maybe you even make some pretty awesome theatre. In this workshop on collaborative theatre making, you will begin the process of working as an ensemble to make and perform stories for theatre. You will be encouraged to work through the challenges of collaboration in order to explore the new possibilities it provokes.
Tickets are £3 (plus a small admin fee)!
