The Fourth Monkey Experience Week
Monday 7th-Friday 11th August 2017

The Fourth Monkey Experience Week is designed to give a taster of what life is like to train as a monkey: intensive, playful and fun!

This course will run at our training base, The Monkey House in Finsbury Park, London. Course dates are Monday 7th-Friday 11th August, 9am-6pm with an informal sharing on the Friday evening of work developed in clown classes during the week.

The Fourth Monkey Experience Week is designed to offer those considering actor training or further development as an actor, what it is to train on the company’s celebrated training programmes. Physical, bold and intuitive, Fourth Monkey’s training approach is recognised as a fresh and ensemble based alternative to more traditional forms of study.

Beginning each day with a yoga class, the course will then focus on two of our core disciplines, Movement and Clown with classes each day lead by core Fourth Monkey practitioners Angela Gasparetto (Course Director for the Two-Year Rep course and movement director) and Stephen Sobal (Artistic Director of award winning All In Theatre Company). In addition to this, each afternoon will consist of a three hour introductory masterclass focusing on a variety of disciplines designed to give a taster of other areas of study at Fourth Monkey. This will include voice and text (including a physical and vocal approach to Shakespeare’s work), Suzuki & Mask.

Places on the course are limited to 18 and participants should be aged 17 or over at the time of the course.

The price for the course is £300 (Early Bird Booking offer of £250 using the code ELECTIONDAY) This includes all training sessions, resources and entitles the participant to a free audition for 2018 intake.
