Description
Claire Botterill – Seed Heads Reborn
Nuneaton Museum & Art Gallery
20 May - 2 July 2017
Beautiful pictures of plants adorn the landing gallery this spring. Nuneaton-based Claire Botterill has created the pieces on show using wax, ink and watercolour to great effect.
Claire is inspired by the beauty a plant can have even after flowering and so the artworks feature plants in their later stages of life. Her exhibition aims to show an appreciation for the things which people may disregard, such as seed heads which have begun to decay and become dull and faded. Claire’s favourite pictures are those showing dandelions. A plant which is so well known for its look once reduced to seeds. Come and share her fascination for these delicate and beautiful forms.
For visitors looking to make a special purchase the best news is that they’re all for sale! The Museum accepts payment by either cheque or cash.
Remember, as with all our shows, admission is FREE and there are also our other displays to enjoy throughout the building.
In addition to our events, activities and permanent displays there is still chance to see
Passing Through which is on show until 9 July
And
‘The BFG in Pictures’, which is a touring exhibition from House of Illustration, on show until 4 June.
