REQUEST FOR QUOTES: CITYWIDE YOUNG PEOPLE SURVEY, Hull UK City of Culture 2017

Description

Hull UK City of Culture 2017 is an independent company and charitable trust (from hereon in Hull 2017), set up by Hull City Council, to deliver the UK City of Culture year for the city, in 2017.

NO LIMITS is Hull 2017’s learning programme. Building upon Hull’s rich history of innovators, radical thinkers and creators, it has been developed to use the power of culture to generate a new population of thinkers and thinking in Hull. The programme will offer a variety of opportunities for everyone to shape, access, engage and participate in the 365 days of transformative culture.

The aims of the programme are to:

  • Raise expectations for high quality and innovative arts provision in Hull that is aligned to other major cities and is not necessarily defined by established art forms.
  • Ensure everyone is provided with opportunities to express themselves in new ways.
  • Ensure all children (aged 0-16 years) have the opportunity to take part in high quality arts provision both inside and outside of school.
  • Increase cultural confidence amongst teachers.
  • Create buy-in, amongst school senior management teams, for high quality arts provision both within the curriculum and as extra-curricular activity.
  • Connect students to the Hull 2017 artistic programme.
  • Enable mutual understanding, networking and collaborative working between those involved within the cultural sector and educational organisations, both within and with those outside of Hull.
