Prepping My Novel for Publication with Julia Ibbotson

One half day 3 hours: focusing on self-editing, self-critiquing, making it my own, voice, research settings and authenticity, preparation for approaching agents/publishers.

An interactive, hands-on workshop style course, for creative fiction writing, which provides encouragement and editing/critiquing practice within a positive, caring atmosphere. It aims to give support to participants who aspire to complete and publish a novel or novella to the best of their ability. We will be focusing on the serious work of preparing your manuscript for publication, looking at skills of editing, critiquing and developing your voice.

It is suitable for those who have already begun their journey to publication, providing information, tips and advice on developing their skills of writing, especially self-editing and self-critiquing. Participants will discover, hone and advance their writing, editing and critiquing skills in order to make their work the best it can be so that they can move on towards publication. The course is suitable for aspiring authors of all genres.They may (but do not necessarily have to) have participated in the first two courses, Writing my Novel: Getting Started and Developing My Novel: Making Progress).

This Mini Course  between 9.30am-12.30pm commencing on Saturday 22nd April 2017 takes place at Alvaston Library, 1252 London Rd, Derby DE24 8QP
