Description

Sound Out is an experimental and durational participatory performance by Sharon Gal for a group of voices in a public space. The work invites people with or without previous vocal or performance experience to come together, interact, vocalise and engage with each other and respond to the space’ architecture and resonance.

The piece evolves collectively, through a process of playful explorations and collaborative composition. It offers a democratic space for creative exchange, extending the notion of the social body by blurring the boundaries between performers and audience.

Each of us has a voice, every voice is unique and anyone can take part.

You will experiment with different vocal sounds and expressions, interact with other participants and audience and respond to the space’s acoustics. You are invited to share your voice and imagination and breathe life into the space.

Sound Out takes place as part of What Happens to Usat Wimbledon Space, London SW19, on Friday 2nd of December between 2pm- 5.30pm (you should be available for the full duration). There is an initial private process of development and familiarisation with the piece, followed by the public performance. http://ift.tt/2fmPLou
