Changing Faces presents ‘Be Funny For Face Equality’ - Comedy Fundraiser 2017
Changing Faces are celebrating 25 years of helping people who have a disfigurement find a way to live the life they want. 2017 is packed with activities taking place around the UK to raise awareness of their work, so for the third year I am organising a comedy fundraiser and need YOU to help!
The acclaimed stand-up/director/tutor/actor, Logan Murray, will train 14 people in the art of stand-up comedy; writing, rehearsing and then performing a five minute set in front of an audience! This challenge is especially for first-timers - comedy virgins only! Each budding stand-up will pay a course fee, get sponsored by friends and family and 100% of the funds raised will go to Changing Faces.
Logan tutors the much respected Stand Up and Deliver course, which started in the year 2000 and has since introduced over 1000 people to the craft of stand up comedy. Many have gone on to win major awards; Greg Davies, Rhod Gilbert, Andi Osho to name a few. More about Logan here: www.loganmurray.com
The course will run from the evening of Friday 28th July, all day Saturday 29th with the final show on Sunday 30th at The Bill Murray comedy pub in Angel, North London. The audience will consist of friends and family of the comedians and supporters of the charity.
If you've never done stand up before and would like to give it a go - if you have a funny friend who loves a challenge for charity - if you have work colleagues that you want to see sweat a bit - if you’re 18-130 from any walk of life, performer or non-performer and love a challenge then we want to hear from you! Just email Anthea Neagle at comedybutterfly@gmail.com for the full information pack.
It’s an incredibly fun, intense and challenging weekend, we really hope you’ll sign up for an unforgettable experience as well as for a ruddy good cause.
