We are excited to announce that ROAR's Members Exhibition, “Sharpen”, is taking place this summer at the Old Market Gallery in Rotherham, from the 10th- 15th of July (10-3pm).

This year, as well as having the exhibition on show, we are running a series of events/workshops around the theme of “Sharpen”. Anyone is welcome to attend these events and enhance their drawing techniques.

Firstly we have a series of “Drawing Walks” where participants will endeavour to recreate different scenes around the town, including a trip to Canklow Woods and Thrybergh Country Park. Details can be found here. 

We also have a series of afternoon drawing sessions named “Extravaganza” taking place at the same location as the exhibition, the Old Market Gallery, on Market Street in Rotherham. These sessions will give people the chance to experiment using different, natural resources to push the boundaries of conventional practice (4-7th July, 2- 3.30pm). More info available here.

The exhibition itself will encompass the work of our expanding and diverse membership. More elaborate information of what will be included and details regarding our AGM will be broadcast nearer the time.
