Junior Jam: Rock ‘n’ Roll Ukuleles! / Brighter Sound / North West / Manchester

Junior Jam: Rock ‘n’ Roll Ukuleles!, Brighter Sound

Description

Brighter Sound presents Junior Jam – an exciting Saturday morning music group for children aged four to eight.

BOOK

Junior Jam gives children the chance to develop musical skills in a fun, friendly and accessible way. Sessions last 50 minutes and take place once a month at Band on the Wall, with musical games and activities, including time to experiment, play with instruments and socialise.

Junior Jam is led by Kabantu (previously Project Jam Sandwich), a world-folk-fusion quintet of award-winning musicians known for concocting captivating, exhilarating improvisations, infectious rhythms and beautiful melodies from around the globe.

Cool dudes Ben and Ali will give you a crash course in blues and rock ‘n’ roll. Using ukuleles* you will lean about the scale patterns, instrumentation and rhythms that make blues and rock ‘n’ roll really groove, and why America is still so associated with these particular genres.

*Participants can borrow a ukulele for use in the session only. If you have your own, do bring it along.

Places are limited so early booking is advised.
