Description

Apply by 30 June 2018

Thanks to R&D funding by Arts Council England, Chapel Arts Studios (CAS) is growing. CAS is looking for 10 new Associate Artists to join the organisation. Associates benefit from being part of a supportive peer group made up of professional practicing artists at all stages of their careers. Artists who join before 30 June 2017 will receive a special welcome, in the form of an experiental launch event.

This opportunity is for artists who want to:

  • Be part of a like-minded group of artists interested in discussion, practice, process, etc
  • Access peer-to-peer learning by working closely and collaboratively with other artists, which provides skill-transfer opportunities.
  • Develop their practice, supported by group discussions and members only activities such as CRITS, CAS Research Group and Collaboration Days
  • Get support with developing ideas and take advantage of leadership and career development opportunities
  • Make an impact through showcasing work as a group, and work as part of a team to achieve mutually beneficial goals

Chapel Arts Studios (CAS) exists to be a centre for contemporary artists to develop their practice and its social impact. As well as supporting artist development we also provide arts education for young people, and work with communities. CAS is an Arts Award Supporter and Arts Award Centre enabling young people to gain nationally recognised qualifications in the arts.

We are especially but not exclusively seeking artists with an interest in arts education due to the upcoming expansion of our education program.

If you like the sound of joining CAS as one of our 10 new members please contact Maija Liepins maija@chapelartsstudios.co.uk for more information.
