Description
For the third year, the Space will be programming free live performances in the beautiful Crossrail Place Roof Garden in Canary Wharf. The Bloom Arts Festivals are a great opportunity for local performers to showcase their work and connect with other artists.
The performance space is an intimate and informal 70 seat covered amphitheatre in the stunning roof garden, which is equipped with a simple PA system and padded flooring, and should be treated as an outdoor performance space.
This year both the Early and Late Bloom festivals have been extended to 4 days with evening performances on Thursdays and Fridays and daytime performances on Saturdays and Sundays. We’re currently seeking performers for the Late Bloom festival which will take place from 10th to the 13th August.
Both festivals are open to performers of all ages and experience levels. Previous festivals included theatre, dance, music and spoken word performances.
Performance slots will vary in length from 5 minutes to an hour and may be scheduled multiple times throughout the festivals. Performances should be appropriate for all ages.
All tickets to events at the Roof Garden are free. There are no fees available for participation in the festivals although reasonable expenses will be covered.
The Space is a performance venue based in a converted church on the Isle of Dogs and managed by St Paul’s Arts Trust. The Space manages the Roof Garden performance space on behalf of Canary Wharf Group.
