Description

Using a variety of colours and shapes from stencils, as well as pre made screens, you will be able to design and create your own screen-printed tea –towel.

We will be concentrating on retro prints by block printing simple shapes, and overlapping them with linear designs.

This workshop will allow you to experiment with compositional techniques for surface design.

Various print mediums and colours will be available for testing.

Printing inks and fabrics included in cost.

You will be taught by Michèle Oberdieck, a contemporary textile and glass designer (BA Hons in Printed & Knitted Textiles, Glasgow School of Art, MA Royal College of Art in Ceramics and Glass).
