INTRODUCING - The School for Poets, a brand new online poetry school delivered by professional working poets.
Our team nurtures and educates aspiring poets who are passionate about building a career in poetry.
We started because, as professional poets, we understand how difficult it is to balance life with passion and we believe that in order to maintain quality, we need to teach quality.
Our Mission:
To add quality to the poetry landscape worldwide by:
Delivering courses by professional poets.
Developing craft.
Providing guidance on all components of a poetry career.
Who we’re for:
Anyone serious about developing a career in poetry.
Poets who believe in continuous development.
Those that want to learn, teach and grow.
How we do it:
Courses are run online via email and an online forum.
Receive resources and exercises for each class via email.
Courses are run over a 7 or 11 week period.
Submit work from each class for professional feedback.
Gain access to an online forum to discuss activities and get feedback from peers.
Our Courses:
School for Poets offers a range of courses led by experienced poets and teachers that will help tool up your poetry.
We have courses in various subjects from theme and form to editing and performance, and even courses on those practical skills essential to a poets career including branding, marketing and, yes, even doing your taxes.
Each course will add another skill to your repertoire, helping launch your career.
We also have courses for teachers and educators who want to gain extra skills in teaching poetry to young people and adults.
