Voluntary Arts Festival is just around the corner! Each May, Voluntary Arts Festival takes place in cities, towns and villages across the UK and Republic of Ireland. It’s a chance for people to get creative with others – share what they already do, or try something new for the first time. Hundreds of groups and thousands of participants celebrated everyday creativity in 2016 and we’re looking forward to this happening again this year! Creativity comes in many forms, from music and singing to visual art and craft, digital art and drama to cooking and gardening.
However you choose to express yourself, you can take part in Voluntary Arts Festival from 5 – 14 May 2017. If you’re a creative individual or want to try something new, Voluntary Arts Festival is a great way to find out how to ‘get creative’ with others on your doorstep. In the run up to May, groups and organisations of all shapes and sizes will be adding their events to the festival website so be sure to check back and put a creative date in your diary!
If you’re a creative group or organisation, we'd love to have you on board! Taking part is a great way to share your collective creativity and invite new people to join you. You could hold a taster workshop, open day, pop-up event or simply advertise your regular activity and make it welcoming to new people.
