Goole will host the UK premiere of a brand new piece of family theatre from hand shadow experts Finger and Thumb Theatre, specially commissioned by Junction with support from Arts Council England! The company bring their unique and innovative shadow puppetry to Junction on Saturday 17 September, 2pm.

The Carnival of the Animals is based on the much-loved piece of music by French composer Camille Saint-Saëns, who imagined what animals would sound like if they were made into music. This original performance is a riot of hand shadow animals dancing, cavorting and bumping into one another accompanied by live piano music, humour and simple light magic. The audience will be seated on the floor, so please bring a cushion!

To celebrate the premiere, Finger and Thumb are offering a fun morning of carnival from 11am-1pm, with a range of free family activities including balloon modelling, mask making and origami.
