Stan’s L I F T are opening their studio/home for a democratic anti-concept salon-style exhibition of selected work created over the last year.

It is important to the artists that no compromise is made when bringing their work into an accessible public arena. This has led to an exploration of ideas of inclusivity and alienation, meaning and meaninglessness. Abstract art seems to epitomise ‘push and pull’ - simultaneously misunderstood and impenetrable yet openly anything to anyone. 

Terry Dynes and Yvette Blackwood are abstract painters who share a live/work studio space in Deptford. They have an art stall at Greenwich Market under the name Stan’s L I F T. 

The conversation started in a lift and the collaboration continues.
