Warwickshire Libraries’ are delighted to announce that artist Ann Loscombe has been appointed as the first ‘FUSION’ Artist in Residence, as part of the Warwickshire Poetry Voices project.

Ann will begin her residency at Kenilworth Library on Tuesday 2nd August, and will spend time creating a brand new artwork inspired by poetry, as well as local libraries in Warwick District and their communities.

This residency has been created as part of a new strand of activity called ‘FUSION’ – exploring and celebrating the relationships between poetry and other art forms.

During August, Ann will be visiting libraries across Warwick District, inviting local people of all ages to join her to read and talk about poetry.

Ann continues “I would like people to come along to the Library and tell me about a poem that makes them laugh or cry, brings back memories or has helped them through a special time. The artwork that will be created at the end of this project will be determined entirely by the input of the participants. That means that everyone who joins in and finds a poem will play a part in the finished piece.”

Details of Ann’s residency are below, and everyone is welcome to come along and take part in this exciting project.

Tuesday 2nd August: 10am – 12pm & 1pm – 3pm (Kenilworth)

Friday 5th August: 10am – 12pm (Warwick) & 2pm – 4pm (Lillington)

Monday 8th August: 10am – 12pm (Kenilworth) & 2pm – 4pm (Whitnash)

Thursday 11th August: 11am – 1pm & 2pm – 4pm (Kenilworth)

Saturday 13th August: 11am – 1pm (Kenilworth) & 2pm – 4pm (Leamington)

Tuesday 16th August: 10am – 12pm (Kenilworth) & 3pm – 5pm (Warwick)

Thursday 25th August: 2pm – 4pm (Kenilworth) & 5pm – 7pm (Leamington)

Friday 2nd September: 11am – 1pm & 2pm – 4pm (Kenilworth)

‘FUSION’ is part of the Arts Council England-funded Warwickshire Poetry Voices project, managed by Warwickshire Libraries. This scheme has also been funded by Warwick District Council.
