A practical workshop for new and more experienced writers on creating effective, credible dialogue with one of the UK's brightest new crime writers Claire McGowan author of The Fall and creator of Paula Maguire forensic psychologist who features in a series of gripping thrillers set in Northern Ireland. Book 4Savage Hungerwas published in March. Claire also writes chick-lit including The Thirty List under the name Eva Woods. Claire will be doing a Q&A about her work in both genres after the class.

Claire McGowan is the author of the Paula Maguire crime series, and also writes women’s fiction as Eva Woods. She runs the UK’s first MA in crime writing at City University London and has also taught for the Arvon Foundation and Guardian Masterclasses. Her dialogue writing is amazing.
